About Me

Hello! I'm Vikas. I have completed my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Exeter in Feb 2022. My thesis is broadly in Behavioral and Experimental Economics. The thesis chapters can be found at ResearchGate.

I was primarily driven by trying to understand human decision-making and its socio-economic consequences and thinking of solutions to improve sub-optimal consequences. The thesis chapters are an outcome of this approach rather than following directly from the literature.

Now my interests are broad: financial and industrial economics, behavioral foundations of macroeconomics, mechanisms of preference formation, machine learning and disruptive technologies like blockchain.

I'm motivated to find and work on ideas that are potentially immediate real-world technology-enabled implementable and can improve efficiency, wellbeing, and, hopefully, equality. At times, I have shared such intuitive thoughts on Linkedin.
